I saw that when they flew in on Flight Aware.....Here is the track from that website:

http://flightaware.c...2100Z/KBFI/KBFI

That page will give you all the route information if anyone on here wishes to tackle this flight. It was a 19 hour 12 minute flight so see if anyone can do better....Just plug this route into your FMC and off you go:

This was required test flight to certify the GenX maximum endurance. ETOPS tests flights can only be carried out by actually flying for the prescribed time so its fuel burnt in a straight line or in a pattern. Regardless, it had to be flown for this duration and the fuel burnt... or should they do this sort of test on its first revenue flight with 250 passengers?

They have to check that ETOPS critical aspects meet expectations, in particular oil consumption. No point having an aircraft that can fly for 18 hours fuel wise only to find out it runs out of engine oil after 16 hours and the engines seize up and the aircraft becomes a glider.

The cold hard truth is that aircraft have to be flown in real world conditions and tested before that can be used commercially
