grumman
I read somewhere that it was a good idea to disable scenery that isn't often used, i.e. other countries. But what are the scenery modules labelled "1107 Base", "1106 Base" etc. Can any of them be disabled if only flying in Oz? Greg
Virtualwombat
Maybe it would be worth disabling some scenery items and measuring loading times and frame rates? Let's not bandy opinion. What we need is some data! Cheers, Noel.
John Venema
By all means disable them, but if you don't fly in those areas the files are never loaded anyway and the only impact on FSX is the compile time for the scenery library, which is not something that happens all that often. There certainly is no performance or FSX startup benefit from deleting all those entries (unless someone can correct me here?)
Tim Harris
No performance gain whatsoever, if anything will just give you headaches down the track
