sos Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Unfortunately, ORBX has not done Nepal yet, so I've had to post real photos from our recent trek to Everest Base Camp. Also unfortunately, I had to be evacuated by helicopter from 4400m ... due to altitude sickness. Good opportunity for some photos from the Sqirrel thogh ! The first shot is the famous Lukla sloped runway ... the arrival in the Twotter(or was that a Dornier?) was quite a rush! The next shot is of us disembarking the aircraft, with the friendly greeting party waiting! Us, somewhere along the track ... proof that I actually went! From the back seat of the Rescue Helicopter ... skimming through the valleys ( at 3000m - 4000m) Coming in to refuel at Lukla, before continuing the evacuation to Kathmandu ... and that's another whole story! Home in Singapore now ... for a bit of R&R ... and to regain the 8kg I lost!!!! BTW, a most wonderful adventure. I recommend it to anyone interested in testing their physical and mental abilities.
