Derek McAllan
G'day all, Short set from me tonight. I've been flying short hops this evening, doing runs like Lilydale to Melbourne or Essendon, and this flight was Redcliffe to Brisbane. I was flying in real weather (as always, lately) and tinkering around with my settings to test performance around big airports. I was just floored by the amazing weather that cropped up on this evening flight so had to grab some screenies for you! Climbing out of Redcliffe and on my way over Moreton Bay Looking out towards North Stradbroke Island Nearing the Port and the Airport, lining up for an approach on runway 190 Looking back across to Sandgate and the wetlands On final, runway 190 Nearly there! Loving being able to view places like this in full detail now, I've fallen in love with the FTX scenery and airports all over again. Cheers, Derek

Just Fly
Outstanding set, Derek! Do you use Shade, ENB, or are these shots edited? I just love the way the fuselage turns yellow in the second shot.

Derek McAllan
Thanks guys! Outstanding set, Derek! Do you use Shade, ENB, or are these shots edited? I just love the way the fuselage turns yellow in the second shot. Probably should have put that in the post. I use ENB with a custom .ini file and J van E's modified haze and I use Shade. Weather and haze/visibility are from REXwx. I do manually edit my pics for effect, mainly changing the white balance (as in the second shot), warming the palette slightly, and enhancing contrast to more closely represent what a human eye sees. I'm really happy with that second pic, not so much with the third, which I overprocessed. Thanks for the input! Cheers, Derek

Dean (PC Aviator)
Nice set. Loved the last one. It has certainly been grey, and rainy in BNE today.
macca22au
Just a comment for the unintiated, Brisbane has a major casino and uncounted clubs and pubs with poker machines, one-armed bandits, fruit machines or whatever else they are called. Hence the media christened Brisbane, Brisvegas to remind us that sin has come amongst us, from Nevada of course! In my case I don't gamble, I couldn't run a computer at flightsim standard and gamble at the same time! I can't even afford to drink too much, and this in a country with some of the world's outstanding wines.
