martinc Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Yeah, Funny thing that, first time i took it up, seemed pretty good.....took it out again the other night in the YMMB training area, what a horror....granted the wind was 260/15, but even so, what a little nightmare, no lateral stability, couldnt trim it to save itself, ended up jamming it down off the edge of 35R at YMMB...going to try it again in 0 wind conditions and see if its any better... Martin Henare Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Ahh the Plastic Rat, I have had a fly of one of these.... oh yes 300 HP is alot after flying a Tomahawk... i couldnt get used to the pilot talking to himself all the time, but then again mil pilots spend alot of time flying alone. Martin Henare Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hey i had a fly with the CT4E last night around NZWB, didnt think the flight model was that bad. Landing was straight forward. Only complaint is the VC is very low res. A cool feature is the pilots head move wrt control inputs.
