Kilstorm
Took off from KSKA Fairchild AFB, Spokane, Washington and thought it was gona just be that airport. Then landed at KTCM McChord AFB, Tacoma, Washington and still had the issue: I recently re-ran the NA blue Patch 3 and 3a to fix the issue with Calm Harbor WA35 which happened because Ozx NA was done after KORS so I had to run KORS again, then the NA patches if that helps. Also in the Scenery library The order of Orbx stuff when I've selected NA has all the AU stuff higher than the NA stuff if that means anything. Neil Hill
Hi there, The elevation files don't appear to be active. Please recycle FTX Central to "default FSX" and back. See if that clears the problem. Cheers, Neil
Kilstorm
Having a very hard time with this one. If I try to recycle I get a window saying that FTX is having an issue and I can continue or quit. For awhile now I need to load FSX in between switching regions. I can not click on default then click on North America without getting a FTX error and then it takes a lot of work to get them sync'd back up and when I finally do, I still have the elevation issue. Please give me some other options on how to fix this or what else I need to inform you on as for my settings or files or whatever cause it seems like a simple fix but I cant figure it out. Tim Harris
Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Backup\restore.bat' is denied. It is a Windows permissions issue due to the location of your FSX folder, try right clicking on the FTXcentral icon and select 'Properties' and then the 'Compatibility' tab and check the 'Privilege Level' box is ticked so FTXcentral can run 'as admin'
Kilstorm
Making progress. Privilege Level was not check, I checked it and resolved is the issue of not being able to switch between regions. However, the original elevation issue still is presence. I ran the PNW 3 patch, the 3.a patch, the new library file all undewr NA in the FTX. Switched from NA to Default, apply, then NA, apply (yah thats worked) started FSX and still having the elevation issue. What should I do next? Tim Harris
OK so your 'error code' free Now set FTXcentral to North America, and browse to FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery and you should have 69 x FTX_ADE_NRM_XXXX_elevation_adjustment.bgl's present, if you don't let us know
Kilstorm
I have 69 NRM files 65 PNW files 5 PFJ files and 2 misc W40 and KCMW I went to KSKA and the elevation issue is corrected itself but still having the issue at KTCM which is in the PNW just south of KSEA
Kilstorm
I think I found the problem. I found the KTCM file and now have 95 PNW files. I created a temp folder and moved some of the FTX files when I was getting a .OFF .BGL conflict which was also at the begin of this post. I resolved the issue of the OFF and BGL by getting them all to say off or bgl but because of the whole privilage thing was having on going issues. so if 95 pnw, 65 nrm, 5 pfj ADE files are correct along with W40 and KCMW then I think I should be all set. Tim Harris
95 x PNW, 69 x NRM and 5 x PFJ is the correct amount, can you recount the NRM ones?
Kilstorm
BTW thanks Neil for determining what the issue should be and Tim for helping me with the details a few days later when I had time to try working on this issue. Great support and team work guys! Its why I host the FTX supporter banner so proudly 95 x PNW, 69 x NRM and 5 x PFJ is the correct amount, can you recount the NRM ones? Whoops. Yes I have 69 NRM ones. Mistyped. I seem to have all the files and have also resolved a longer plagued FTX Central issue as well. Plus the new library files which I've already noticed some of the new stuff and looking great.
