high into the sky ...

… Just wanted to go up and beyond today, so:

… Out of Launceston and beyond the sky of Tasmania!

And actually wanted to go even further, but... to be honest –

And now come the words many of us know just to well:

Due to the limitations of FSX... – in that case it was the weather actually ...

The far distance from approx. 60000 feet looks odd somehow i think, because clouds and any weathersettings stop abruptly within a certain range - So it then looks like as if there were only clouds and weather around and below You and nowhere else beyond that certain range ...

Anyway:

I gave it a try and up to around 50000 feet it all looked fine somehow - at least on my monitor here …

But sure:

All nothing compared to the real thing though, which is just fantastic – ...

Please enjoy it all!

YMLT is the flavour of the day in this screenshot forum.

Wonderful airport and Tasmania is blessed with such landscape diversity.

Great GA potential too.

Love the shots.

Hello Rick@YMEN!!

200% agreed - i am actually taking a tour from Tasmania to the Australian Mainland - want to go around the coast one time... will take some hours of simming..., but i am looking forward to it most happily - because the improvements that SP4 brought to the allready most superb Australian Sceneries are amazing - especially to Tasmania i think:

Just had some flights around the lakes that are to be found there in the Center and towards the south of the island - and the shorelines of these lakes are just wonderfully detailed - and also the landclass ... WOW

So:

Indeed - Tasmania is a great place to be visited!!!

Where can One get the u2 for fsx ?

Hello lthendrix!!

I got it from "Area 51 Simulations" for FSX - ...

not sure though if i can recomend this model... i meen it´s not bad... but e.g. the repaints...: the black ones (as one is shown above) look good to me, but the included "NASA-repaints"... well: they could really be much much better...

the same goes out to the Gauges ... - so again:

it´s not that bad, but i think it is a bit too expensive for what You get in the end...

i don´t know if there is some... but: You may better look out for some freeware U-2 spyplane-stuff before purchasing, if You are really interested in taking one of these fine planes up into the skies!
