Tailgunner
I want to restore my FSX water, but I haven't come across the cogwheel-in-a-frame Backup bat folder before, and am not sure how to execute it. Presumably I double-click it?

Holger Sandmann
Hi there, from the instructions: "This installer automatically makes a backup of your currently installed inland base water textures so you can revert back if you wish. Just run the \Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Texture\Water.Backup\Restore_FSX_Backup.bat batch file to do so." As with any other Windows files you can "run" a file by either double-clicking on it or right-click and select either "Open" or "Run as Administrator" (in VISTA). Depending on how the bat file is coded you may see a black&white screen flash up and disappear. Batch files are "dinosaurs" from the DOS-command days that are easy to code and use. You can load them into Notepad or other text editors to check what they are supposed to be doing. Cheers, Holger
