The Cub - my new one: At Bundy and somewhere else

... So:

My new system is running now - and i can FINALLY fly everywhere  :):D;D:o - NOW i can really experience what a GREAT thing this ORBX-sceneries are - i mean: i knew it, saw it ... but now: i actually feel it!!! WOW!!!

This first series of pictures taken at my new PC are straight out from the v-key - only cut them a little in size, so that they fit fine in here and they were all captured at one of my first "new-PC-testflights" so to say.

I will have to do some tweaking with my REX settings and some tuning with some small but - as i think - important tweaks that improve the overall appearance of the FSX-environment ... but for the start i am very happy!!!

And i really wanted to share this with You!!!

This first ones also go out to John, fiftysix - I will definitely continue taking the Cub for a many, many flights while listening to his band´s great music!!! All great stuff at: http://www.herc-rock.com/fr_home.cfm !!!

So Everyone:

Please enjoy!!!

Looks like it was worth the expense Moonman, really great autogen and overall high quality..

I like numbers two and three.

I have found that the overall appearance when flying over rivers and lakes is improved immensely by changing those settings re the water. the waves never look right to me on those kinds of water surfaces...

thanks for sharing with us... :)

Feels my heart with joy knowing that you finally got your perfect system all running well for a passion you have with fsx!..

You got many great years to come with your new system and can now settle into flying like it's meant to be...

These screens show it all so far, judging by your old pc shots, we r in for a treat..

That cub is a great plane and glad you're enjoying!

Thank You all very much for Your kind replies here!

Indeed ... i have to admit: It is a  :o of a PC to me too - for the moment at least  ( ;) ... because as we know: hardware´s  half-value period is something very relative!!).

But it made sence to me to purchase it now - sure: A big part of it goes out to flightsimming, but another big part goes out to other things, such as musicprogramms as well - so: I finally decided to go for it - especially due to the fact, that i am not that familiar practically with overclocking... (i know the 980´s are perfect for it ... maybe i will really give it a try in the future ... but for the moment i am glad about how it all works as it is)

And: Just imagining now if the next generation of flightsims really support GPUs and multicore systems in an adequate and up-to-date way... OH YEAH!

But for now let´s all keep on flying with whatever we have got here and keep it on rocking!

Thank You all very much!

Christoph

Hello Horatio!!

I really do agree with You on the "wave-issue"... i realised that it (no surprise) depends on the angle and daytime You look at them... but looking at them from a "top-down-view", they all look a little too big to me so to say... very static somehow... i mean: please don´t get me wrong: i like what REX did overall, but i also think that - as with so many other issues concerning the FSX environment - the "wave-issue" is definitely one that needs to be revised completely within future flightsims.

Hello Just Fly!!

I use various enb. settings, but in these particular shots i used John Venema´s enb files - If you are interested in them, You will find them here:
