Holger Sandmann Posted June 25, 2008 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Hi guys, the numbers in the cfg don't refer to meters but rather to the level of the nested grid system (mesh LOD) that FS uses for terrain display. See http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/numbers.shtml ("What is LOD?"). Thus, LOD22 refers to a ~10-m resolution of the raster grid, LOD23 to ~5m, etc. If you have FSX Deluxe and the optional SDK installed (DVD1) then you can read more about it in the Terrain SDK section.
