Kilstorm
Got a new computer on the way and would like a general idea of how best to go about getting my FTX stuff back on my new system. I already know about running FSX after every scenery package to keep things in order and have a SSD HD so no need to defrag. So my question is Should I install my DVD AU then AU download airports before I do my NA stuff? Or does it not matter if I do NA first?
Wolter van der Spoel
best would be to install fsX on it's own dedicated partition or HD as for install order have a look here => http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=8155.0 enjoy the ride
Kilstorm
Thank you for the link. That will help out and make my life easier. So FTX installs a slightly little bit differently than normal addon scenery where you dont need to run FSX inbetween each airport install right? I remember reading its best to run FSX after each install so it builds the database correctly. Whats the advantages of having FS on a partition or separate drive? Wolter van der Spoel
Whats the advantages of having FS on a partition or separate drive? The biggest advantage is that is doesn't get cluttered, as when it's on the default location also all the other stuff that's on your C: drive gets mixed up in between the fsX files, with a dedicated HD or Partition only the fsX and related files are there so that saves a lot of hassle and fragmentation
