pilecan
Hello, My name is Pierre, I'm from Montreal, Canada. I installed VOZ since the version 1.1 and that allowed me to know the beauty of your country that perhaps I shall have no chance to visit a day. Recently, I putted online a website that could be very useful for Simmers or scenaries builders who want to discover of new Addons on AVSIM Library or some new places from Geonames or Wikipedia databases. From FS9 database, Map2Explore.com allows you to put on Google Maps and Google Earth some 25,000 airports by their ICAO, their country, their region or their city. On each Placemark, you will find information about the airport and links that allows you to make search directly in Avsim database. Also, on each Placemark, there are links to find videos from Youtube.com, photographs from Panoramio.com, and nearest articles from Wikipedia.com and more. Map2Explore.com is a merge between Google Maps and Google Earth with Geonames.org, Wikipedia and Microsoft Flight Simulator databases. The GeoNames database contains over 8,000,000 geographical names corresponding to over 6,500,000 unique features and Wikipedia.org contains up to 230,000 articles. With a special marker from Google Maps (Magic Menu) you can drag it at a location in order to search information about the region like the nearest Wikipedia articles, airports, photos and local geographical features that you can export towards Google Earth. If you appreciate this website don't hesitate to present it, I think Map2Explore.com can be very useful for our community of Simmer. I think I got it right and no ( for all you smartypants out there) I did not use an online translator either
pilecan
Hi, I understand you, writing well in french is like torture for french people also but the language of Molière is a very nice thing for the Humanity. For Map2explore Phil Taylor wrote something good about the website. http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/archive/2008/06/13/interesting-geo-site-map2explore-com.aspx Have a good day, here the night coming.
