chumley
Hi I pushed a button or two in FSWC last evening and my water has turned from a blue colour to an insipid white creamy mess. Any idea how I can undo the sins of the past? I knew I should have left well alone Andy b
John York
When you turn FSWC back on it will be back to the default. However, if you didn't save your special settings with a name you've probably lost them. John
frostlp
Or you could have some fun and just push buttons to see the results - you don't need to exit Flight Sim to make changes - just resize the screen for the changes to take effect. chumley
OK - all fixed. I reloaded the original settings from the backip and all is well. I discovered after some poking around in Google that the upset is related to having the alternate shaders folder in lieu of the FSX original. The question now is whether or not performance wise it is better to have the replacement shaders or the better looking water. Jury is out. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. Derek McAllan
You're referring to the Shader 3.0 mod? Easy answer in my book, as an ATI graphics card user. Shader 3.0 > FSWC any day, at least until the FSWC guys get around to incorporating Shader 3.0 tech. With the latest updated waterconstants file from Bojote, my water's looking better than ever before.
