teecee Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 When I turn on ground shadows on the gold coast I get a series of Black lines running from the tops of some of the highrises to the bottom right of my screen.. I believe I saw this in the past somewhere and read that the lines are something to do with the drawing or placement of the scenery objects.. I can run without shadows on if need be, but if there is a cure for this I would like to fix it and keep the shadows.. Teecee. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
John Venema Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Hi Terry, we don't recommend ground shadows be turned on because they kill FPS and also are not compatible with the tree-lined roads we use for our vector roads. Also, there is a lot of shadow elements in al the ground textures anyway, such as next to buildings and below trees etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
