Rob Abernathy
Time to turn in. I've been exploring Orcas Island in the Bird Dog and put down for the evening at Clam Harbor. ORBX has really outdone themselves with this scenery. Looking forward to the payware version of KORS. I met Richard Goldstien (who made the FS9 version) at the Reno air races during an AVSIM conference. I was doing scenery work myself and had a great discussion on the "current" techniques! \ Great guy and fun to chat with.
Heiko Glatthorn
Indeed, Richard Goldstiens Orcas was (together with Emma) my favorite FS9 GA airfield. Our FSX version is well on its way including many POIs around the island to explore .
Rob Abernathy
That's good news, Heiko! I've visited Orcas Island in RL, as well as most of the other San Juan islands. This is an incredibly beautiful area. I have a relative that is a farmer on San Juan Island, near Friday Harbor, and love to visit. Are you working on KORS yourself? Heiko Glatthorn
It's truly a fantastic area which i really would like to visit one day . Yeah, Andreas Hegi and me are working on KORS (or better said on Orcas Island, it's not only KORS ). The hangars and buildings inside the airfield area are finished and i just realize how much it has expanded since the FS9 days...
