warwickm
Been doing some backwoods flying in PNW. Some of the strips have been absolutely diabolically hard to find. In the two shots below is a landing strip. See if you can spot it. I had to circle a few times, with maps & GPS open. And no its not a tarmac/gravel strip. I will post my flight plan in the relevant section in the next few days because I found a great set of airfields I think you guys would appreciate. Not all off them are as difficult to find. Griphos
Here's my guess: I've gotten used to looking for the slightly darker line of grass in the fields. Am I right?

Griphos
Yeah, I thought that one first, Rick, but I think that's just a pasture. Looks like a good spot to land, though, doesn't it?!

TheAviator
haha, it's so awesome to actually have to TRY to find a strip, instead of the default ones which just stare you straight in the face ORBX FTW!

Bruce Hamilton
If you fly something with tundra tires, everywhere is a landing strip.

Griphos
You want a real challenge, fly into 7OR6. It's not that hard to spot, but it's hard to get into. Take off from 4S2 (Ken Jernstedt), which is a great airport east of Mt. Hood, and fly north into that little valley and you'll spot it. Good luck, though. I'd come in over the river no matter what the wind is. }
