pphibbs Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Hi Guys, In my haste to install Gold, I did the unthinkable and didn't turn off FTX. Gold installed OK and I haven't detected any issues ...yet. Have I got anything to be concerned about moving forward? Do I need to uninstall everything and start over? I imagine I've screwed up the ability to bring back the default FSX textures in Australia but seriously who needs them. Let me know the damage I've caused myself (tail between legs). Stian Rolandsen Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Some other files that are beeing backed-up when setting FTX mode to ON will most likely get overwriten and you may then still see FTX textures outside FTX areas even when FTX mode is OFF. One option is to manually replace the files with the default ones, but to do that you'll need to know where to find them. Just so you know...I did the mistake too...and I'm on the team I might be able to sit down and go through the FSX DVD to find out where to locate the files needed.
