Fabian
Hi, I recently purchased St. Thomas Airport (TIST) from Tropical Sim. After I installed this, I noticed that I have duplicate coasts around the airport. What do I need to uninstall from Vector to be able to use the coastline from Tropical Sim? Since I like to fly virtually to the region, but I don't want to ruin other Caribbean destinations for myself. I am talking about TNCM, MUHA, MHRO, TJSJ which I have installed and if they would be affected. What other regions/airports would be affected? Thanks for the help? Cheers, Fabian
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Fabian Some screenshots with the coordinates from the Shift+Z keys might be helpful. I would also ask at Tropical Sim support, as its more likely someone there has both Vector and TIST installed together.
Fabian
Hi Doug, Thanks for your quick reply. The request to Tropical Sim would certainly be helpful. Here come the requested pictures. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Cheers Fabian
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks What happens if you just uncheck/deactivate the Vector entries in your scenery library or P3D addons menu?
Fabian
Hi Doug, still the same with deactivated Vector entries. It is only good when I have deinstalled that scenery. I guess I have to contac Tropical Sim. But please let me know which file in that area is responsible for the coastline? Thanks! Doug Sawatzky
Hi Fabian If you have deactivated all five Vector entries, that is the same as Vector being uninstalled. Is your Vector installed in an external library or in the root simulator folder?
Fabian
Hi Doug, it was installed in the root simulator folder. (Which file in that area is responsible for the coastline? Where will I find it?) Cheers Fabian
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Fabian I have no idea where to find a specific file in Vector. The best I could do is point you to the Orbx\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_CVX\scenery folder, and you can have a look in there. But, if you have already unchecked/deactivated all the Vector entries in your scenery library, and coastline still looks the same, then Vector is not the problem.
