TajGuy123
Hey, so I recently purchased london city airport for x plane, as it is my home airport in real life, and when I loaded in the fps was really horrible. I average at 60+ fps at nearly every other airport, but for some reason i'm having fps issues at london city, it's unplayable and i'm getting maximum 15 FPS and can barely pan the camera. Could anyone have a solution for this? (also i tried deleting the preferences folder, did not help at all for me).
Jon Clarke
EGLC is located in the most dense area of scenery/autogen and POIs and there will be fps impact versus other airports. I am not saying that the fps shpuld drop to the level you are experiencing, merely stating that the density of the area will not give you 60fps, probably in the 20+fps. This very much also depends on your XP settings. The user guide says the following: I would try settings like in the guide initially and see if it improves the fps rate. Ignore the Draw shadows enabled tick as this also affects fps/smoothness performance. Also remember that you are within the flight range of Heathrow if you are using an ai Traffic addon. A one setting fits all in XP does not apply in the London area a bit like the impact that KLAX has also on the sim's fps. You will find that the fps will increase once you have left the area of EGLC. I suggest that you also consider what your PC secs are in regards to CPU speed, GPU vram and RAM as they all help in fps. With XP11 also running in Vulkan has a major fps advantage. I attach some pics of what I see at EGLC. The first are pics with the Static planes option disabled but Traffic Global ai running at 60%. I have taken day and dusk/night pics. You need to view in full screen as the fps counter (FRAPS) is in the bottom right of each pic. You will note that they are all showing 30+fps in all directions and also at night. These are my XP settings for my PC specs (in my signature) plus in 4K resolution: No statics enabled: With static planes enabled:

Thanks a lot for this Im sure once to tick Vulkan your FPS will jump up into the mid to high 20s around Orbx EGLC maybe even more and make it a much more pleasurable experience.
