answered Volanta not connecting to msfs

I downloaded the Volanta app but it doesn't connect to my sim, thus it doesn't track my flight. In the settings it found the path to the sim folder but when I opened the log file I found this:

then it continues to try and repeatedly fails. The sim is running throughout this.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
