steve5031
I am currently running Orbx Central v4.1.28. I am planning to migrate the library from my current C drive to a new E drive. I use the library to store scenery files for P3Dv4.5. XP11 and FSX-SE. I had a couple of questions before I start the migration: 1) Are the instructions in the current Orbx Central user for moving the libraries current or are there addition/different steps I should follow? 2) Once I have successfully completed the migration will Orbx central "fix up" the appropriate simulator to ensure it now knows to load the Orbx scenery from the new location? Thanks, Steve
Nick Cooper
Hello, the instructions for moving your Library are current. They must be followed exactly. Orbx Central will see the new library and be able to configure your scenery.
steve5031
Just wanted to clarify a couple of the Moving a library to another location Remove the library that you would like to move (remember: this doesn’t delete the actual files). >> I did not see a "Remove" button. I'm assuming i use the "Delete" function to do this step?<< Move the files from your original library into the new location. DO NOT amend the file structure. This step may take a while depending on your disk speed. >> Is it OK to use File Explorer to do this or is there a more preferred method?<<
Nick Cooper
Hello, Quote I did not see a "Remove" button. I'm assuming i use the "Delete" function to do this step? you should click on the Delete button, this will remove the Library. Quote Is it OK to use File Explorer to do this or is there a more preferred method? Yes, I don't know of another method that would achieve the desired result.
