Nick Cooper
Hello, try opening your fsx.cfg file and in the [Main] section, change Maximised=1 to Maximised=0. This will stop FSX from using full screen. If the window is still black, delete the Shaders folder at C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Microsoft and try again. jamjam
Hi Nick, Thanks for getting back to me. i looked in the FSX file and cant seem to see the "maximised=1". This is all i see under [main] [Main] User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc ProcSpeed=7918 PerfBucket=7 also I cant see the "Shaders" folder either, not sure what I am doing wrong? If you could point me in the right direction that would be great thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, you can add the line yourself and you might need to set your Windows File Explorer to "Show hidden files, folders and drives" to see the appdata folder and its contents.
