Global Range versus Regions Scenery Coverage

I currently have the following Global Range products installed:

- Base

- Vector

- Open LC Europe

- Open LC North America

- Buildings HD

- Trees HD

I also have numerous regions installed, True Earth and non-True Earth varieties.

I have read in the past that the scenery coverage of the regions (LC, Vector, Mesh, etc...) is the same or better than that provided by the Global Range products (not too sure about Buildings HD and Trees HD). If I only fly in the regions I have installed do I need to have the Global Range products installed as well, or are they redundant and just take up disk space? If this is true is there any problem uninstalling the Global Range products? Again I'm not certain if the same applies to Building and Trees HD. Can someone confirm this is still true and if it also applies to Buildings and Trees?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve,

welcome to the forums.

If you installed Orbx Global Base into the simulator folder, you cannot remove it because

it has replaced the default files.

However, it adds very little to the overall size of 3D, while greatly improving its appearance.

You can of course remove the openLC and Vector products.

Some regions include their own upgraded buildings and trees and some do not.
