akmatov Posted November 17, 2020 Share Posted November 17, 2020 Been gone for a while and notice that P3Dv5 is now out as well as CityScene Charleston. However, Charleston, which has been out for almost exactly one year, is listed as P3Dv4, not P3Dv5. Yesterday Nick wrote regarding updating to P3Dv5, "it remains the intention to update the airports". While waiting, will Charleston run well with P3Dv4? If not, any hints on when it might happen? DMdoc Posted April 7, 2021 Share Posted April 7, 2021 IF you have both P3Dv4 & P3Dv5, you can move key files about KCHS from your P3Dv4 version to the P3Dv5 version. The end result is having the Orbx KCHS airport, the Charleston city scenery, and the nearby airports (such as KJZI) in full Orbx glory on your v5 sim. (Of course, the transplanted version still has the flaws of the original v4 version, such as non-Boeing aircraft parked at the Boeing 787 manufacturing facility, and the poorly-modeled Arthur Ravenel bridge over the Cooper River with its inappropriate/nonexistant supporting piers under the main span.)
