otterspotter Posted May 8, 2010 Share Posted May 8, 2010 Decided to take a break from the coastal flying and explore the Australian outback in more detail (prevoiusly only checking out Uluru), especially that OZx added a bunch of strips there in OZx 3.1. Real weather courtesy of REX2. After take-off from Kings Creek Station, a working cattle/camel station: Areyonga strip in sight: Ambulance? Somebody called in an emergency? After lift-off from Ayeronga, the small Aboriginal community (217 people, according to http://www.reddust.org.au/areyonga.html), barely visible under the left wing: Over James Range: Finke River and Mount Sonder (Rwetyepme) in McDonnell Ranges in the distance: Hermannsburg (Ntaria, population: 559) by Finke River in sight, with the strip beyond it: Ambulance here too?
