Australia issues

Recommended Posts

G'day guys

I am slowly, slowly moving up in the world of P3d.

I'm thinking about purchasing V5. I only fly Aus and N.Z and

I am curious if there are any on going issues within these

regions? I have all Orbx products for these areas.

Thanks for any help.

cheers

IMHO

- if you are using P3D V.4 at the moment - my suggestion is that you stay with it for the time being

because in many areas V5 falls short of V4 in a number areas - not least the colouration

V5 is a new Sim - not an upgrade - and developers haven't quite caught up with  its newer

makeup. This can be especially so in some scenery - airports - and a number of popular aircraft etc.

We are all waiting for the promised upgrade to V5.1 - that might jog some developers

out of lethargy  -  hopefully recognizing that P3D is still a way of earning income.

Of course - if you are NOT on any variation of P3D - or still on FSX and a library of goodies  -

then by all means - go for V5

G'day John

Yes I have P3dv4 at the moment.

In what regards do you mean by colouration?

Is there any other main issues using Orbx Aus

airports and areas that you know of?

Thanks for reply,

cheers

Hi Gumby

It's a rather involved problem as I see it - but here's hoping it might just be solved soon

Meanwhile - I started a discourse on the subject so maybe you can take a look at it FYI

https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/199274-t-e-Orbx-v4-and-v5-comparisons/

If you get to the end  - you might note Nick's comments on the subject

Meanwhile specifically - close to the ground  - the problem tend to show -- but at 35000ft

hardly noticeable

If you have Orbx cityscapes - you will notice it

BTW - the aircraft in your avatar pic - I think its the FDS - but what is the Aircraft ??

Hi John

I guess like with any sim not all is 100% perfect. I may just

go ahead with it anyway and see for myself. The price is a

carton of beer to purchase.:unsure::wacko::(.

The avatar is the de Havilland Heron used by Airlines of Tasmania back

in the (I think) 80s and early 90s.
