resolved Orbx Central no longer working - doesn't detect MSFS2020

Hi,

 

I just tried launching Orbx Central but it no longer detects my installation of MS Flight Sim 2020. It gives an option to manually select a simulator, but MSFS 2020 doesn't appear in the list. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Orbx Central but no dice. Now running what I believe is the most current version (4.1.23). Thanks.

Hi there. I too had this problem but resolved it by: loading, running and closing MSFS while Orbx Central was closed, rebooting my PC, then opening Orbx Central which now showed MSFS. Fingers crossed that it works for you too.

Please try this

 

First Uninstall Orbx Central.

Then Delete the below folders

C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Orbx-central-updater

C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Orbx\Central

Then Reinstall  Orbx Central.

Doug, thanks for the prompt reply. I followed your instructions, but unfortunately, I'm still having the same problem. I'll try rebooting again, maybe that will help.

Okay, Orbx Central now recognizes MSFS2020 again. I ran FS2020 then, while that's running, I ran Orbx Central and Central finally identified it again. So, things appear to be working correctly once more. Not sure why it forgot about it, though. Whatever. Thanks.
