well im back with the same issue which has been given me the shits with fsx freezing during flying for up to 1hour with rex running,i dont know wat to do ,the pc has been overclocked at a pc shop,the overclock is set arround 4gig,and has been running at a max temp 69 degrees,everything including ram has been tested ,ive gone in to the action centre and it just said ,problem with fsx x86 has stopped working ,thats it ,it just freezes in mid flight,umm wat should i do here ,i have defragged the hard drive ,all this was happenning before the overclocked,when i thought by getting it set up by the pc shop would make sure the pc was stable,umm should i wipe everything off the pc and start again"?because this problem has been arround for too long,im running in dual monitor mode and ive got the latest drivers installed in the graphic card,all setting are not maxed out,and the graphics card settings are set to default,autogen to normal,ill try and post some fsx settings in here my frames rate setting is down too 25 also,ummm wat to do next only god knows,ill try and extract some file to post on here ,wish me luck ;)cheer.

nope it does not restart,when it freezes the pictures just stops ,when i click the mouse on the picture the screens go foggy white ,you can still see the picture but it does not react,it gives me a choice to close the programm,i click error report,here is some info if it makes senense to you,it doesnt for me lol,when fsx closes it does not freeze the whole pc ,i can restart fsx and fly again until it freezes again ,roughly about 30mins into flying using default aircraft only,ive posted some data from my pc from the event viewer hope it helps me .

hi tim im in windows mode when the crash happens ,i have the menu bar mod installed on my pc allready so i know thats not cousing the problem.

its not menu bar crashing ive got that mod installed by my pc guy,you have helped a couple of  guys in this forum allready with this problem as i can see and i have looked at that thread cheers mate.

Hi Timmo

I had the same priblem for a while. If you have a soundblaster card make sure you have updated the drivers to the latest. I use two sound cards, one being from Creative and the other is a built in card on the mother board for voices. I kept forgetting to update the drivers for the onboard card. Its worth it to make sure all your mother board drivers are up to date ,most people think about the graphics card etc but then forget the drivers for the main board. Also check your core temps when FSX is running you may still need to adjust your voltages or even your fan speeds to help.

thanks for the replys im not using any sound card set ups and my pc is only 4 month old,im not sure about the ht set up ,my pc was set up by a computer shop ,it took them two days,they tested it before and after the overclock,as far as i know it is stable,but when the last freeze up happen i shut down the pc and when i started it up ,it reset back too 2.6 mhz cpu speed,so it might be unstable maybe?but the freeze up was happenning before it reset,its been running a 4gig overclock for 2 weeks,without resetting,but freezing when rex would load the weather tho,i most likely will return the pc to the pc shop but i know in the back of my mind that wat ever they do will not resolve my issue,sorry for sounding negative here,been down this road all to often,hope someone can help cheers guys.
