ada
Since I'm running Orbx Global, LC Europe an Vector there is a forest in the path of RWY09 at Bristol. Almost touching the tree tops on approach! Any idea when these trees will be cut? In the real world there is no forest at this place! Many thanks for corrective action... Nick Cooper
Hello Andreas, Google Earth does not agree with you that there are no trees there. However, the simulator trees are notoriously oversized. Those seem to be around 125 feet tall.
ada
Thanks Nick. Since I fly myself quite often in real life out of Bristol, I would have noticed such tall trees at the end of the runway. Furthermore, in reality the terrain is sloping down the hill, i.e. the tree tops are barely above the runway level. Is there anything Orbx can do with the scenery? Nick Cooper
Pilot Plus, the developers, are the people to ask.
Pilot Plus
Hi Andreas, In reality indeed the sloped runway and terrain before 09 makes the approach differ slightly, sloped runways for P3D are not implemented for developers correctly as of yet. It's not simply something that can be turned on. Once draping polygons and other tools are available, we will be happy to amend the sloped mesh at Bristol. ada
Thanks Joe. In the meantime I will keep cutting the tree tops with the landing gear :-) best wishes, Andreas
