The SD version is only 2m/px so at close range it's not as good as the HD version which is 1m/px but it does perform better. In addition, if you can, up your texture resolution settings in X-Plane, but be careful flying around LA it could turn ugly if your PC can't cope. My texture res is all the way to the right and I still have excellent fps in LA. It's an amazing accomplishment. My only issue with the HD version will be the amount of space.
