Your Central log file provides us important information, please attach it to your support requests. You can find it at the following locations, or by pressing Control + Shift + L.

  • Windows: %APPDATA%/Orbx/Central/central.log
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Orbx/Central/central.log
  • Linux: ~/.config/Orbx/Central/central.log

You can delete this box/quote once your log is attached

Simulator:  FSX


Issue:  Central not finding FSX

 Central is not finding FSX on my disk D. I has found prepar 5 and 4.5 along with steam fsx and xplane. I have attached the app files as requested.  Can you tell me how to fix the problem?

I expect that is where your problem lies.

If the Steam Edition is installed to a system without a trace of FSX, it uses all the same folders

and some of the same registry entries as FSX does.

If you install FSX thereafter, it does the same and the result is often less than ideal.

A log time ago, I wrote a guide, which might help you out.

It is written to solve the opposite problem but it should help you to separate the two.
