answered Orbx Central with dual installs of P3D

Hi folks,

 

Installed P3D v5 last week and until all aircraft add-ons are eventually updated need to run dual versions (i.e. V4 alongside V5).

Orbx Central (latest) has updated my scenery fine, but the only issue I have is it has created a duplicate folder in my library of all scenery files (P3DV4 and PSDV5).

I am assuming this is inevitable due to changes between the V4.5 and V5 files, so you need both copies. Sure does eat up a ton of disk space though, so is it essential to have both folders?

I have tried sharing files with little success.. Orbx Central gets confused..

 

However, you do not need to have the same scenery installed in both.. I have moved most of my scenery to V5 exclusively, and only kept PNW and Alaska in V4.5.  PNW is active in both, and yes, there is a duplicate copy of that region..

Thanks. I could do that manually, but use a lot of UK Orbx scenery and add-on aircraft in P3D v4 currently.
