answered openLC Africa polygons mesh problems

Hi,

 

I have zu following issues with Mesh and polygons with openLC Africa. The products has been installed twice, the verify files and sync buttons have been pushed in the way suggested in FAQ (Block issues). The only product installed in this area is Pilots FS Global 2018 FTX P3D and FSDG Cape Town. Do you have any suggestions?

none of these problems are connected to open LC Africa.

You can check this by disabling it and you will still see the anomalies.

 

FYOG: you seem to have an addon that corrects the layout of the river.

I cannot replicate this.

Could you have an addon airport, I see that the default version is partially in the lake,

but I cannot see that airport because your aircraft is blocking the view.

 

FMMI: once again, I see that the default airport sticks into the default lake.

The default water is at a different level to your addon mesh.

Also, it is at a different level to the open LC Africa mesh.

Global Vector or disabling your mesh and the OLC Africa mesh will fix it.

 

FKVS: adding the enhanced mesh shows that the default airport is not at the same level as

the new terrain level added by the mesh.

This is an unavoidable consequence of adding mesh but Pilot's have given you AFM.

thanks for the explanation. Regarding FMMI and FKVS I will use AFM which partly helps but not with the lakes. Maybe this is an Pilots FS Global 2018 FTX P3D issue.

I too am having issues at FMMI. I have OpenLC Africa and OpenLC Africa mesh and photoreal installed, and Global. I own - but have not installed Vector. It seemed I was always tweaking it so when I moved to a new PC, Vector didn't get installed. I don't have any other mesh installed and only the stock airport. Thoughts and suggestions?

Vector corrects the elevation of the water bodies and your screen shot suggests that 

your simulator could make good use of it.

With regard to the Lakes in the FMMI area post you referenced, there is a dramatic difference. One question, though; what is the purpose/benefit of adding the Freemesh X product if I'm using OpenLC Africa mesh, assuming that Freemesh X is compatible with P3D v4.5?

Hello,

possibly none but the simulator always uses the highest resolution mesh in any given area,

so it is most likely a good idea to leave them both in place.

Mesh seems to have remained compatible with all versions of FSX and P3D.
