FSX Boxed to Steam

Recommended Posts

I know I'm a few years behind but am taking the opportunity of moving from Windows 7 to 10 and moving from FSX boxed to FSX Steam (was going to move to P3d but on hold pending MSFS2020).  I am aware of having to remove all traces of FSX boxed including registry entries.  I'm wondering if I need to reinstall my ORBX sceneries, re-add to the scenery library or does ORBX Central do something magic :)

Thanks

Phillip

Hello Nick,

Thank you for your response.  I have updated to Windows 10 but have some issues with FSX since upgrading with random crashes.  I was looking to change to FSX Steam (which I boiught a £5 copy in case needed) as designed to work on more modern software.

Hello.

Let's stick with FSX for now.

It does need the UIAutomationCore.dll fix to work with Windows 10, something that ships with FSX-SE.

I have attached a copy of the file in case you have not done this.

It goes into the FSX root folder.

You will probably also benefit from installing FSUIPC, if you have not already done so, the free unregistered version will do.

UIAutomationCore.dll
