Operating system:  win 10

Simulator:  Prepar3d4.5 htfx 2

Issue:  Hi! Ive just bought EGLC scenery and Its look like it's not supported  by the old good FTX 3. So as far I understand Its time to move for a new one.

The reason I'm asking here is that I done it at the summer but had to revert back to version 3 due to numerous problems and issues. Especially with vector and so on.

Are those problems fixed now?

What is best way to migrate from version 3 ?

Do I have to reinstall all my products?

Is it possible to leave them in the prepar3d folder?

Hope you will help me.

Best regards and thank you for your work.

Hello Danil,

I would recommend that you install Orbx Central and use it to install your new product into an Orbx Central Library.

If you do nothing else, there is no reason to suppose that Orbx Central will not work as expected with all your

existing products.

You will need to reset your scenery library Insertion Point but otherwise, do nothing and all should be well.

This is the method that I have used and I do not see most of not any of the reported problems with autogen and so on.

Hi Nick, thank you for the answer.

Just to summarize, I don't need to reinstall any of existing sceneries( migrate from ftx3). So I don't need to uninstall ftx 3.

I will only install new central and EGLC. So I will have 2 centrals at my PC. Is it correct?

Kind regards

Danil

Yes but you may need to use Orbx Central to control your newest product.

If you choose to continue using FTX Central, do not use Orbx Central for

anything other than the installation and set up of your new products, or you

will see error messages in both versions.

Ok, thank you for the information.  I will try to do so.
