bvdboomen
I started to follow a topic in the ORBX Central forum about black textures and made settings changes given in that topic. Then things god worse and now I think I'm having a Vector problem? I use ORBX Central without libraries, so just as FTX Central 3 was; straight into the sim. (p3d v4.5) I was following this in particularly: 1. So it started like this which made me move to the ORBX central forum 2. The, when the black textures remained, I decided to verify Global Base and OLC NA and Vector and I got this: The airfield got buried and the ocean disappears. and: 3. Disabling Vector brought the ocean and airfield back and made the black textures disappear. What in heavens name is going on? Cheers, Ben.
edpatino
Good question. Difficult is to find someone able to answer it. Welcome to the club. Regards, Ed
bvdboomen
Meanwhile I refreshed terrain.cfg and scenery.cfg and erased the scenery cache to no avail. It's clear that ORBX Central is placing Vector AEC above 0000 Base. Moving it below doesn't make any changes either.
Nick Cooper
Hello, assuming that you have installed everything into an Orbx Library, can you show the order of the Vector entries in your scenery library please. Ignoring the AEC entry for now. Thanks.
bvdboomen
Hello Nick, I have no library. Everything is in the scenery.cfg. I hope this is a good way to show. Vector is placed between Africa and Asia: [Area.100] Title=Africa Local=Scenery\AFRI Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=100 [Area.101] Title=ORBX!VECTOR_APT Local=ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_APT Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=101 [Area.102] Title=ORBX!VECTOR_CVX Local=ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_CVX Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=102 [Area.103] Title=ORBX!VECTOR_EXX Local=ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_EXX Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=103 [Area.104] Title=ORBX!VECTOR_FixedAPT Local=ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_FixedAPT Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=104 [Area.105] Title=ORBX!VECTOR_OBJ Local=ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_OBJ Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=105 [Area.106] Title=Asia Local=Scenery\ASIA Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Layer=106 Cheers, Ben. Nick Cooper
Hello, can you open P3D, look at the Scenery Library and rearrange the entries like this:
Kilo60
Bump for fix request from ORBX...! The fix needs to be a sticky until ORBX can squash this reoccurring bug! You have to completely delete the effected LC and reinstall. However, it's been reported a full delete from ORBX/FTX Central leaves behind several files in the LC Folder that have to be found and manually deleted. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the NA LC 3 times and finally fixed it. The problem is that any change or update to the LM scenery causes the issue to reappear again and again ad nauseum... The easiest way for me to test is to fire up the default EGLIN Airport and fly to the other airport to the right along the shore when taking off over the water... Every time this issue reappears this area is always effected. Not sure about the Europe LC cause I don't fly in Europe currently so I haven't checked there in awhile. bvdboomen
Thanks for the answers. I'll try Nick's proposal first this afternoon.
bvdboomen
Nick, that was the solution. Thanks! But the developers should look at ORBX Central because I erased the scenery.cfg file to let P3D built a new one. Then I started ORBX Central to get the ORBX scenery into the scenery.cfg file. ORBX Central is putting the Vector entries in the wrong order then.
