John York
Help please. I can't find it. It doesn't seem to appear in the FSX flight planners lists and it doesn't seem to have an AFCAD. John
John York
Don't bother. I've found it. Trouble is I still can't find the actual borders of PNW and the map in the manual leaves something to be desired. I never imagined it would be this far out. By the way, anyone contemplating flying into it IFR don't bother! The silly ATC girl couldn't find it and ended up crashing me into the bloody mountain!!! After all that way from Twin Oaks too Mind you, I should have cancelled the IFR as soon as she got me into the valley. especiall as I've had the same problem with ATC in amongst the Swizz Alps. Still, I had a look round and I must congratulate you all. It is truly a fabulous place. John
dpurcell
I'll second that...It is F....G amazing :) I'll probably never again fly a plane that doesn't have a windmill on the front of it!
Tim Harris
Trouble is I still can't find the actual borders of PNW and the map in the manual leaves something to be desired. Use the Google earth KML, found in your FSX/ORBX/User Documents folder
John York
Yes, I have used Google Earth but still can't see where inside is from the outside. There are thin lines I can barely see but I think they're state dividing lines rather than the parameters of the Orbx product. John
Tim Harris
Try this: Open up Google Earth 1: right click on the FTX PNW Coverage area bar 2: select properties 3: select the Style, Colour tab 4: adjust the % of the border to your desired width 5: adjust the % of the opacity to your desired level Click OK when happy
John York
Thanks Tim, that has made so much difference. I would never have found that, not in a million years! I've adjusted the line width up to 10 - can't miss it now! It's not in the manual or anything so how on earth did you know that? John
