answered Bonners Ferry 65S runway flicker redux FSX

I have an unusable airport caused by runway flicker, never experienced this before.

 

No amount of zoom adjustment disables the flicker, inside of the airplane or out.  The only time the flicker resolves is within about 500 feet of landing.

 

I've read every thread I could find in a search, looking for a solution. 

 

I downloaded an altitude BGL linked in a thread, as a last resort.

Apparently, no fix and none in the works.  Hopefully, some other users experiencing the same issue can chime in with their particular work-around.

 

I don't understand why there is no warning with the software if it flickered for beta testers.

try this, it will remove the runway markings but also the flicker.

 

rename ORBX_65S_GP2.bgl to ORBX_65S_GP2.bgl.off

 

My guess would be that when this product was being beta tested before its release in September 2013,

monitors were lower resolution and the flicker not there, or less evident.

I was finally able to fly and test.  This work-a-round does the trick and now I can use the product.
