styckx
Is this a Orbx TE thing or a rendering `flaw' on X-Planes end? One of the Classic views in Washington is "The Mountain" (Rainier) looming in the background but the further you get, a ghosting transition takes place.. Everything maxed - 100sq mile view distance Basic mountain shape just Nouth of Seattle. If you look close you can see a hint of the full render just barely making itself seen Get a little closer and you can see a transparent overlay of the full render start to blend in with a the basic mountain shape.. We're South over Seattle now. This view with a `ghost mountain' is very prevalent and distracts from the otherwise great scenery. I can not un-see it at this point. Even closer and now we now have the full mountain rendered For what should be a breath taking view of Rainier over Seattle.. We get this instead. I can't not see this... styckx
As a follow up to this.. I "fixed" the issue myself. More of a payware work around. I forgot I had UltraWeatherXP removed for some prior testing of something unrelated. Reinstalled it.. Bam.. The "Terrain Distance" setting fixed the trick! I'm a happy camper now.. Tony Wroblewski
I was about to suggest it's some sort of LOD addon causing this, as you're seeing the default low LOD earth textures from X-Plane, but glad you've resolved it.
