BernieFlyer Posted June 15, 2019 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Hi, firstly thanks for the great scenery. The Hobart Rwy features a displaced threshold. This was a temporary thing while the runway was extended at the South Eastern end. The VOR was too close to the new threshold and has since been moved to the position as shown on Bing Maps (or Airservices Australia airport charts) which has the correct 2019 layout. So the runway is now fully operational at 2727 Metres in length with no displaced threshold at the Rwy 30 end. I don't know if resources are available to fix it but it would be nice if possible. Bing imagery correctly shows the current configuration of the runway and aprons (and matches the latest Air Services Australia aerodrome chart) whereas Google Maps (shown below) is several years out of date.
