nyc2pdx
scenery.cfgscenery.cfgRecently purchased a new computer, moving P3D over to it. I installed all my scenery, including Orbx, booted up, and noticed elevation issues. Ran the AEC, and two hours later, no response. I know it takes a while, but this seems to be a bit much. Attached is a copy of my scenery.cfg, but I have a feeling this has something to do with the AEC and elevation. Any help? Doug Sawatzky
Hi Did you install your sim into a folder, or did you install to the root of the drive?
nyc2pdx
Hi Doug, I installed it on a separate drive by itself. Is that not allowed? https://gyazo.com/8c37c1e8b092fd79d1f5e1dc39eb3c2c
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks Unfortunately Vector requires a folder structure for the Auto AEC tool to work, and it will not work in your case, but you can still use the manual function of the AEC tool and just adjust the airports as you encounter them individually. nyc2pdx
Thanks Doug-so how would I install P3D outside the Program Files directory (so I don't need to deal with the permissions issue) and have AEC work? what kind of structure is it looking for? Doug Sawatzky
All you would have needed to do was create a new folder in your D: drive called something like P3Dv4 first, and then install your sim into it.
nyc2pdx
Hi Doug, I did that, moved the entire folder into d:\p3d\ and reconnected everything to the new location. But AEC is still hanging when I run it. thoughts?
Doug Sawatzky
Hi You would need to reinstall everything into the new folder so it creates the correct registry entries in windows.

nyc2pdx
I can move the Orbx folder so I don't need to download the 200gb again, right?
