utahraptor78 Posted March 28, 2019 Share Posted March 28, 2019 Hi all, I am helping out a friend who has FSX SE, and has purchased and installed Orbx EU UK scenery via FSS and then migrated this into FTX Central. Everything is updated and the FTX scenery is ticked in the scenery settings of FSX but scenery still looks terrible throughout most of the airports, in fact for some reason only Elstree looks OK(ish). Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be, and what scenery needs to be ticked etc? I have tried complete re-installs of everything but it still doesn't work. Really frustrating. I don't have the order number to hand but I just called him and agreed to pick up his PC and work on it here for him. Nick Cooper Posted April 2, 2019 Share Posted April 2, 2019 Hello, thanks. It does look in your screen shots as if EU England is being displayed. In your shot of the scenery library, all is in order and your fourth screen shot shows the telltale yellow rape flower springtime textures. I would say that much can be done by increasing the display settings. I also see VFR Real which, although disabled, is a photo scenery product which would overwrite all but the EU England airports and scenery objects. Nick Cooper Posted April 2, 2019 Share Posted April 2, 2019 Hello, there is no antialiasing in this image. You should tick that in Display settings. Select anisitropic filtering too. VFR Real and EU England are not compatible, as I mentioned above. It depends on whether you want to see photo scenery or the Orbx product. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Half the problem is I'm not sure how it is supposed to look, I think it looks OK but the customer is convinced they are not what he purchased. Nick Cooper Posted April 2, 2019 Share Posted April 2, 2019 Hello, the customer has apparently purchased two versions of England. One is Orbx EU England, which you show in the two screen shots. It is a landclass based product. The other is Just Flight England, which is a photo scenery product and will therefore look very different. I mean, is it integrated into his Steam account or does he need to download it again off their site or something? One of them is photo scenery for the UK. here is a link to the product page for you to familiarise yourself. He may or may not have the latest version, probably not, it has been recently released but the product has been available since the early 2000s. If so I have never downloaded them, I just installed FTX Central and then signed in and installed the EU England. Is there anything else to be done?
