Nick Cooper
Hello, how much system RAM and V RAM do you have please? It looks like your PC is not keeping up with your demands of it. Is that the PMDG 747? You could edit out all the unnecessary transaction IDs and put your PC specs in your signature if you wish.
Thenapster305
I have 32GB of RAM and 6GB of VRAM
Nick Cooper
I'm guessing that even so, you are too fast in a highly demanding aircraft over highly demanding scenery and it's too much for your PC. There is some very good advice here. The product is designed to provide the best possible experience of VFR flying over the virtual GB.
Thenapster305
Hi Nick, I am looking through the manual and have found the bit highlighted not in the P3D V4.4 settings
Nick Cooper
Texture resolution on the Global Display settings page?
Thenapster305
But there are 2 texture resolutions on the manual which one is which? Still not getting any trees I've tried everything and I'm not new to simming.
Nick Cooper
There is Global texture resolution on the Display Page, the maximum setting being 4096. There is Texture resolution on the World page, the maximum setting is 7cm. Below that are autogen sliders. You should also disable Dynamic 3D autogen vegetation. To see the change for that one, you must restart the simulator.

Thenapster305
Where can I go to get a refund, this clearly is not working at the moment even though I have the system that I have.
Fizzelle
The most common cause for there being no trees at all is that there are duplicate BGL files in the \scenery\global\scenery folder. If you have vegetation.bgl and vegetation_TF.bgl present (note neither file disabled) then you will have an issue as P3D doesn't know which version of the file to use. Thenapster305
@Fizzelle Do you mean Scenery/world/scenery in the p3d main folder or do you mean somewhere else?

It's the Prepar3D - Scenery - Global - Scenery directory Might be worth a check - I don't have any problem at all with the trees so it's probably a P3D configuration setting on your system. Nick Cooper
Hello Gentlemen, just to be sure, I tested this and sure enough, if you disable the bgl file that contains the trees, you don't see them.
Thenapster305
@Nick Cooper it must have been TE that disabled it as I cannot imagine that I would've been in to turn that off, considering I didnt know its location in the first place? Thenapster305
Ok, so now I have trees which is a start. Now the quality of the scenery is awful as per my picture. Still the same settings as the manual specs but this is just terrible
Fizzelle
My settings are as below and I have a good experience in the Sim. However, as a disclaimer, I don't have TEGB for P3D, only for X-Plane, and if you use my settings they're pretty good on other ORBX scenery (eg Scotland) so they should work much the same for TEGB. Might be worth a try. Perhaps Nick Cooper can verify? 3 files below:

Thenapster305
@Nick Cooper I have been through all of that post and have been through everyone's different settings and it is still not what i'd expect (i.e not the same as the product page photos) please can I request a refund and have this removed from my account please. Thenapster305
I've now also tried JV's own settings (completely different to what the manual recommends) and still exactly the same. I do believe I have wasted all the time I can trying to get this to work, and by the sounds of it, others are having the same issue too, so I kindly ask for a refund.
