P3D Generating Scenery Stuck when using ORBX Vector

Recommended Posts

G'day all,

Been having an issue with FTX Global Vector that I have been unable to resolve myself. Whenever Vector is installed and activated in the scenery library P3D won't launch. P3D stops responding when generating the scenery index around 61% to 76%. I've tested all my scenery individually and identified this as this as the issue, and frankly, I'm out of ideas on how to resolve this issue. To make things, simple, I will provide a list of everything I have attempted so far and the error log I received when uninstalling the product.

  • Installed through the FTX Central using both it's included downloader and through saved ZiP
  • Completely uninstalled all ORBX Scenery, and reinstalled each addon 1 by one, running P3D after each install (no further then Vector)
  • Run the configuration tool straight after installing and attempted different configurations
  • Using a Scenery Config editor, disable Vector components and run one by one until the application hangs (I did this multiple times and it got stuck on different components)
  • Attempted multiple different scenery configurations
  • Verified files multiple times
  • Force migration through FTX Central
  • Deleted generated files multiple times

Thanks.

Your scenery library looks to be in perfect order.

The error message you attached is for FTX Central and this does not affect P3D,

although it is not good to run them both at the same time.

Can you leave P3D running with Vector active and have it eventually load?

Also, what are your PC specifications please?

I have left it running for periods of time with no change, however, plan to leave it running for a few hours on the next install.

PC specs are as follows:

  • 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-8750H Six-Core
  • 8GB DDR4 | 128GB M.2 SATA SSD + 1TB HDD
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (4GB GDDR5)

They're not great but I don't have any issues running p3d. My main computer is currently undergoing repairs so I've resorted to this for a while.
