theav8r
Can anyone comment on the weird texture I am getting on this Freeware airport. I can't access a User Guide, and would like to get a normal looking concrete apron and taxiways.

Nick Cooper
Hello, it's a photo insert with a grass detail texture that you (and I) have added. If you prefer, try one of the coarse textures from the Aero folder instead.
theav8r
Hi Nick, I have tried all the options of Runway 18 Texture in FTX Aero, but nothing has changed. I don't know how it came about, as I did not intentionally change it. I only get this texture at YMLT (Freeware) and YMML (Payware). All my other airports have normal ramp/taxiway textures. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Regards, Kurt
Nick Cooper
They both use photo scenery ground textures, as already mentioned. If you saw no difference then the process did not work. Go to ORBX\Scripts\Aero\Source where you will find folders named after the various detail1.bmp options. Inside each one is a detail1.bmp file which can be placed into Scenery\World\texture and allowed to overwrite what is there.
theav8r
As I do not want that "grassed look", would it be easier to just delete the "detail1.bmp.Grass" file altogether? Or save it to my desktop? Would that revert the airports I mentioned to the more normal looking ramps/taxiways etc..? Thanks for persevering with me on this one Nick as I am not that computer wise. Nick Cooper
Hello, most people who complain of blurry ground textures have done this. You can simply untick Land detail textures.
theav8r
Thanks very much Nick, that has fixed it. Cheers Kurt
