vish96
Hello , I was trying to install my orbx products onto p3d v4.4 and I am encountering black textures . I have disabled ( unchecked ) the frozen water option in vector I ran the migration tool many times but no use. I have attached a screenshot Any help / suggestions? 4.4 compatibility issues? Mikelab6
Hi and welcome to the forum ! 1. Did you installed ORBX Librairies ? 2. Use FTX Central, and try the "Verify files" for the region you are seing this problem. Mike
BokChoy
Hello. I also had the blacked out patches appearing everywhere after an update from P3DV4.1.7 to P3DV4.4.16. I ran the "verify files" in the regions where they appeared and tried P3DV4.4.16 again. All the blacked out patches disappeared and the sim ran normally. So thanks very much for this timely help. vish96
Hi Thank you Yes , I did install the orbx libraries and Yes I did verify the files and even ran the migration tool.....but it did not work at first. Then I came across a post related to texture morphing in one of the other forums listed here.... It said it might be due to a corrupt terrain.cfg file Replaced the cfg file with a new one through a link from the said forum Then , verified the files ( took ages ) And finally it appears to have fixed it

Very frustrating.
Nick Cooper
Hello, you can simply delete the terrain.cfg file in P3D v4 and when you start the simulator again, it will generate a new one. You can find it at C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\terrain.cfg
Vitor Marques
Hello everyone, I can not find the file "terrain.cfg" in my P3D installation. Is it necessary? Everything seems to work fine ...
Nick Cooper
The simulator will not run without one. Probably you cannot see it in Windows File Explorer. Here is how to: Quote Please note that the programdata folder is hidden by default in the Windows File Explorer. If you cannot see it, please go to your Windows File Explorer view options and check "Show hidden files, folders and drives". If you have no problem, there is no need to touch it, of course.
