simdown42
Hi Because X Plane is contained in one folder I was wondering if it was worth copying the installed TE England files from Custom Scenery to a portable HD as a backup to avoid a complete reinatall if the computer crashed. Would that work? Thanks

Would that work? Thanks Yes it would work. You would then only need to Copy/Paste your back up into your new install of XP11. However............ if your portable HD was sufficiently speedy you could just put your back up copy of TE-GB into a folder called e.g. "XP11 Scenery," make a shortcut of that folder and put the shortcut into your Custom scenery folder of your new XP11 install. The best option of course is to have all XP11 on a seperate drive away from C drive which has your OS on it. A crash of a PC usually only affects the C drive and OS (Windows) and not any additional drives you may have installed internally or externally.
