Owen Richard Bruce Dixon Posted October 15, 2018 Share Posted October 15, 2018 I installed GB South for x-plane via FTX Central. On starting X-Plane, after the installation, the scenery does not appear to have loaded. London shows only prominent buildings roads and the River Thames. Non of the detailed scenery shown on the previews appears to have loaded. The same for the Southampton area. I am new to X=Plane and not a computer wizard so please make any replies detailed. It seems that you will need to navigate in Windows File Explorer to X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery and open scenery_packs.ini with Notepad. Find these three entries and edit the file so that they are all together at the bottom of the text and in this order. SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_GB_South_TrueEarth_Custom/ SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_GB_South_TrueEarth_Overlay/ SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_GB_South_TrueEarth_Orthos/ Save the file and try again. Owen Richard Bruce Dixon Posted October 16, 2018 Author Share Posted October 16, 2018 Now when trying to load a flight it brings up a screen listing 'scenery files that can not be found' It than and aborts X-Plane. Not anything helpful like how to fix it! This is worse than some freeware I have used! If it wasn't for the twenty five odd hours of download I would uninstall it and try again!
