Kilstorm Posted October 10, 2018 Share Posted October 10, 2018 Turn up the thermals, add some wind and grab the glider and enjoy some sailplaneing flight-seeing! I took off in one of the bi-planes and climbed to 8000MSL over the mountain ridge just to the north of KEGE.. Then switched to the glider and headed East. The winds were out of the southeast. It seems AFS2 models ridge lift and down drafts on the backside of the leeward terrain so be careful. I ended up getting all the way up to 10200 half way between Eagle and Avon STOL. I then headed back towards KEGE and explored around the southeast of Eagle before returning to land at KEGE. What a great time since AFS2 doesnt model ATC or AI, it seems this is a great way to enjoy the smooth flights over Jarrads micro region KEGE. Especially in VR.
