donbrindles
Hi, some advice from Nick please. I've just completed a reinstall of W7 + P3D4.1, and now want to reinstall all my orbx products. As per Nick's advice I've backed up my ORBX, scenery, sound and effects folders.Presumably I just move the backup ORBX folder directly into my P3D4 main directory, as it's not replacing any folder. However, can I simply move the backup scenery, sound and effects folders back into their appropriate locations...will they over write the default (P3D4) folders...or should I delete the default P3D4 folders first? Thanks for your advice, Don
Nick Cooper
Hello Don, when you copy the files and paste them back into P3D, you will be asked if you want to replace the existing files. Select no and only the Orbx files will be added back, leaving your new files untouched.
donbrindles
Ok, thanks Nick. For the avoidance of doubt, rather than copy and paste the unopened scenery, sound and effects folders I should open them, then copy and paste the files (not replacing the existing files)? For the ORBX folder, I just copy and paste the unopened folder? Just want to make sure I get it exactly right. Thanks again Nick, Don.
Nick Cooper
You can copy the whole folders, ideally one by one and Windows File Explorer will put the files in the right places and also tell you what you already have.
